Integrating Sustainable Management Practices to Enhance Real Estate Development Performance in Saudi Arabia

Abstract:

This study aimed to evaluate the extent to which sustainable development practices are implemented in a Saudi real estate development company and their impact on organizational performance. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, deemed most suitable for the subject matter. A questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 247 employees across various job levels in Saudi Arabia. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: the first collected demographic information from the sample, while the second addressed four main themes covering the study's objectives: integrated management practices for sustainable development, comparison with leading international companies, the economic impact of sustainability plans and existing plans, and challenges hindering the implementation of sustainable development. SPSS software was used to analyze the results. The analysis revealed a strong positive correlation between senior management support, scientific research, the adoption of a comprehensive sustainable development framework, and improved project quality (R² = 0.840). Furthermore, the analysis demonstrated a strong positive correlation between adherence to international sustainable development standards and improved project quality (R² = 0.840 and R² = 0.801). Adherence to international sustainable development standards was also strongly positively correlated with improved project quality. (R² = 0.800).
