Abstract:
In today’s highly competitive, rapidly changing global economy organizations have been focused to consider Benchmarking in Process Management to achieve Performance Improvement. The role of Benchmarking in Process Management is important for achieving Performance Improvement. The aim of this paper is to present a conceptual framework of Benchmarking integrated with Process Management, based on analysis of various models presented in Benchmarking and Process Management. The main emphasis was focused on the concept of Benchmarking factor ( Resource, Time, Top Management Commitment and knowledge of Benchmarking). and Process Management factors(Information Technology, Documentation, Culture, Process Governance and Executive Management.) to achieve Performance Improvement.
Therefore, this paper contributes to develop three models: Benchmarking factors model, Process Management factors model, and Benchmarking and Process Management to achieve Performance Improvement Model. The paper will describe more valid factors to identify how organization deals with Performance Improvement in the future. It also provides advice for the Information Technology (IT) Industry as to how an analytical Integration between Benchmarking and Process Management to achieve Performance Improvement that should be taken into account in developing countries to attain Performance Improvement because of cultural, social and educational disparities.
