Abstract:
The catering industry, a key segment of the hospitality sector, faces the challenges of operational optimisation and meeting growing customer expectations. In the context of event catering, last-mile logistics is critical to service quality and customer satisfaction. The development of autonomous delivery systems opens up new opportunities in this area. This article analyses the potential for integrating autonomous delivery systems in event catering, using a case study of the implementation of an autonomous catering delivery system and a review of the scientific literature. The aim is to identify the key benefits, challenges and prospects associated with this technology, with a particular focus on customer perception, economic implications and the impact on sustainable development. The conclusions point to the significant potential of autonomous delivery systems in optimising logistics processes and increasing efficiency, while highlighting the need to address concerns related to safety, legal regulations and public acceptance.
