Integration Of Mathematical And Object-Oriented Modelling In Management Of Security Mechanism Designing For IT Systems

Abstract:

Mathematical modelling is widely used by many researches to describe different mechanisms for IT systems. It was also used by authors in their previous publications to define the management model for integration platforms which support implementation of public tasks. Unfortunately, mathematical modelling is often not integrated with any real-life designing processes, so in effect it cannot be easily used to create or manage any real-life security mechanisms. In this article, the authors have decided to integrate mathematical modelling with object-oriented modelling. One of the most common object modelling languages was used – UML version 2.5.1. The authors conducted a research to select only suitable categories of diagrams to make it a more universal approach also for any new mathematical models that can be integrated into real-life scenarios.
