Abstract:

This paper aims at a better understanding of the intention of university males and females in regards to recycling their old mobile phone.  After describing their past behavior, namely how they proceeded in the past and highlighting their motives to do so, the research investigates their intention for their actual phone when it will be time  for its disposal.  The data did not provide a relationship between knowledge about environment and intention to recycle but the environment concern does have a significative relationship with recycling intention.   Men and Women have a similar profile about most of the variables but women are more inclined to recycle without any monetary compensation than men.  Further research is needed
