Interference of Indicators of Sustainable Consumption to Gross Domestic Product

Abstract:

Sustainable development of society based on production and consumption to foster economic and social performance is the primary objective that must concern all stakeholders. The concepts of sustainable production and consumption are considering the use of goods and services that meet basic needs and improve the lives of people while minimizing use of natural resources, toxic materials and emissions of waste and pollutants throughout the product life cycle, so as not to jeopardize the needs of future generations.

Through this study we aim to identify viable econometric representation forms of interdependence between variables expressing sustainable consumption on Gross Domestic Product.
