Internal Communication The Relationship between Barriers and Strategies in Verbal Communication

Abstract:

This work's main objective is to explore interpersonal communication. The focus is directed to verbal communication, however, the same is also shared with non-verbal communication. In this context, the importance that internal communication has in an organization/company is analyzed. It is well known that the professional success of companies is slightly dependent on internal communication. Barriers and their mitigation strategies are also present in this work. The case study is carried out at Portway Handling in Portugal, where it was analyzed whether these same barriers were minimized, whether the mitigation strategies applied by managers or workers were applied correctly, in order to achieve greater success. A second objective would then be to understand whether the hindrance caused by communication barriers has a preponderance in the efficiency of the work carried out by the company. To carry out this study, the selected was the questionnaire, using a sample of 31 participants.
