Abstract:
In the study the opportunities to utilise crowdsourcing as an instrument of employee engagement are considered. The essence of engagement is analysed, the terms “engagement” and “involvement” in relation to personnel management are compared. Employee engagement is understood as a range of measures developed to engage employees in the process of running a company. These measures empower company employees to influence decisions and activities related to their positions. Crowdsourcing is one of the relevant tools for employee engagement. The essence of crowdsourcing is defined, its implementation scheme is described, and the classification of crowdsourcing projects is developed. Examples of the application of this technology for resolving organizational issues and employee engaging are offered. The case study of JSC «Sberbank», the first Russian company that implemented internal crowdsourcing in its activity, is provided.
