Abstract:
This paper systematically reviewed international communication and strategic financial management to develop Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for Multinational Companies (MNCs). It analyzed how international communication strategies and strategic financial management enhance CSR for MNCs in its synthesis of scholarly work between 2016 and 2024. The research investigated the differences in the communication approaches of global MNCs and ascertained the effectiveness of their CSR activities. Also, the study intended to analyze the utilization of strategic financial management to enhance and expand CSR efforts. Accordingly, this research used stakeholder theory as the theoretical angle. This theory provided a suitable platform for dissecting communication, financial, and CSR challenges. The systematic review methodology was based on the PRISMA guidelines. Secondary data were obtained through electronic scientific databases like Scopus, Web of Science, Springer Link, World Bank Group, and other valuable organisational press releases. The data were collected and analyzed using narrative, quantitative synthesis, and case study procedures. Combining these three (3) can be termed Mixed Method Synthesis. Results are shown in tables. The contribution of this work to practice is significant because this study provided crucial suggestions for policymakers, corporate managers, and researchers. The study attempted to enhance the corporate social responsibility performance of multinational companies and, thus, positively affect the sustainable development goals by focusing on successful international communication practices and the best practices in financial management. Besides, this systematic review examined new trends and themes in CSR research studies, helped set the course for new investigations, and offered a practical implementation.
