International Food Trade Policies for the Improvement of Socio-Economic Conditions of Rural Population in Developing Countries: The Case of African Continental Free Trade Agreement

Abstract:

The subject of this paper are International food trade policies in developing countries, with a specific focus on the African Continent Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). This is to assess the impact of the implementation of the agreement on the economies of the countries concerned. In particular, the aim of the paper is evaluating if AfCFTA could be possible solution for boosting intra-regional trade and improving the agri-food sector.
