Abstract:
Internationalization in the higher education area is a fact, universities designing their own strategies considering this issue. Furthermore, internationalization in higher education is an in-depth analyzed topic from different perspectives: higher education institutions, students, policy makers at national level. Therefore, this paper aims to: identify the factors that influence students’ decisions when choosing a country to study in, other than their home country, at the European level; provide an analysis at the national level in Romania on the internationalization of higher education issues, especially related to students and consequently formulate policy recommendations for managers at the institutional and the national levels respectively.
