Abstract:

Knowledge in unstructured documents lacks on the characteristics of structuring, therefore it is difficult to query in simple ways in it. This paper presents an interrogative knowledge organization and structuring approach in capitalizing knowledge that resides in unstructured documents. An experimental approach is done using test collection of unstructured documents. The results produced are measured using quantitative retrieval performance of recall and precision metrics. This research proposes a way of structuring unstructured knowledge into an interrogative structured form.  It further shows that knowledge could be retrieved from unstructured document through interrogative method.
