Abstract:
The article discusses the relationship between intra-organisational relations and employee stress. The paper is theoretical and empirical. The empirical part was based on an analysis of research reports on employee stress and job satisfaction at workplaces in Poland. For the purposes of the study, the notions of positive and negative intra-organisational relations were conceptualised. While providing answers to the research questions posed, three dimensions of organisation functioning were distinguished in which the quality of interpersonal relations is important; moreover, consequences of the influence of positive and negative relations on these dimensions were identified. Empirical analysis enabled drawing conclusions on the importance and quality of interpersonal relations and their connection with employee stress at workplaces in Poland
