Investments in Employee Development as a Manifestation of Responsible Human Resource Management

Abstract:

The objective of the study is to assess the involvement of enterprises in employee development in the context of CSR in enterprises conducting their activities in Poland. In the first part of the article, the issues concerning social responsibility, human resource management and investments in employee development are presented. Subsequently, the sources of financing the activities associated with improving competences of employees and the degree of involvement of enterprises in this area are indicated. The last part of the study is devoted to the analysis of the so- called good practices implemented in enterprises under CSR in the area of "Practices in the field of labor", the implementation and realization of which is a manifestation of responsible human resource management. Due to the subject matter discussed in the article, the focus of attention is the operations conducted in the category of development and training of employees.
