Abstract:

If we agree that IT governance is the responsibility of an organization's board of directors and its executive management to define organizational structures and processes through which IT can support and expand the organization's strategies then IT governance in green businesses is completing this concept with terms such as sustainability and environmental protection.

In this paper we aim to present, on the one hand, the main features of IT governance as it is found in the main flow of papers, as well as to identify characteristics that allow the introduction of the concept into organizations that are prone to be sustainable and have as principal objective environmental protection.
