It’s All A Game: Strategies And Scenarios In Open Sharing Spectrum

Abstract:

Radio spectrum access has become an increasingly addressed problem, thus, a dynamic solution has emerged involving coordinating users to use a shared spectrum [1]. Notwithstanding, users competing for the same limited resource may have no incentive to cooperate, besides, we should also presume that in a private information exchange some players may choose to be untruthful. In this paper, we propose acknowledging the shared spectrum as a repeated game with cheat-proof strategies and an intelligent system to maximize the group profit and minimize the deviating behavior response. By using a punishment method, the user is enforced to collaborate. The additional program we propose aims as being a friendly adviser to the user and proving with statistics and computations to the latter mentioned that cooperation is always the best response.
