Abstract:
While a growing attention of literature has highlighted the significance of e-participation in e-government sites, very few researches have been dedicated to determining the key factors that impact citizens’ intention to engage in e-participation. Based on a review existing empirical researches in the context of e-participation, this study proposes a conceptual model of the factors impacting citizens’ intention to use/engage in e-participation. The four key factors, which have a significant impact on citizens’ intention to use e-participation, includes attitude, subjective norm, trust and website design. Based on the literature, SWAT model is developed to assists Saudi government agencies to understand the key factors that would increase citizens’ intention to use e-participation in e-government websites.
