Knowledge is Power: Removing Language Barrier with ICT

Abstract:

With the help of information technology better knowledge propagation has become possible.Traditionally knowledge propagation has a major problem of language awareness. Knowledge remains in the close boundary of that society bounded by language. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the possibility of using existing technologies to overcome this problem. If you are able to convert the knowledge into any other language of the world, this knowledge will have some meaning to it and can be easily propagated. This paper proposes a framework to have knowledge work system in place by which the knowledge generated in any language should be available in any other language of the world. The strong pillars of this concept are the major information technology infrastructure currently present in most of developed and developing countries. Large network of Internet, growing Intranets and the availability of machine assisted language translation techniques.
