Abstract:
Towards organizational efficiency, reverse mentoring contributes a great deal in talent management as it is focused on attraction, recruitment, engagement and retention of newer and younger talents in the organization. This research examines the effect of knowledge sharing reverse mentoring on employees’ performance among MTN staff in Ikoyi, Lagos State. Descriptive research design was used in this study. The population of the study comprises of 724 staff from Ikoyi headquarters and a sample size of 258 is obtained. Regression analysis was used to measure the impact of knowledge sharing reverse mentoring on employees’ performance. SPSS was adopted in testing the research hypothesis. The result from the findings show that knowledge sharing reverse mentoring has a positive effect on employees’ performance (P=0.001). The result concludes that knowledge sharing reverse mentoring is highly important in other to gain employees’ performance, especially in the era of globalization and technological advancement.The research recommends organizations should also seek to educate their staff on the necessity of the practice of reverse mentoring, following the COVID-19 pandemic where some employees were required to work from home and make use of technologies in communication and other work activities.
