Abstract:

The modern information society needs specialists who possess not so much knowledge, the volume of which is increasing every minute, as competencies,  the abilities to act professionally in uncertain and constantly changing conditions. To train such competent young specialists for the needs of society and the state is the main task of a modern higher school, first of all of the teaching staff. Realizing the importance of continuous self-development and self-improvement of research and teaching staff in order to increase the level of their professional and pedagogical competence, we decided to create our own Laboratory of Pedagogical Skills (LPS), which has an ambitious goal to become a school for professional competence of teachers of Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA). Despite the complexity of organizing the educational process in higher education through quarantine, the Laboratory of Pedagogical Skills in accordance with the requirements of the time continues its activities in online format, helping both teachers and graduate students to improve / form their professional and pedagogical competence.
