Abstract:

The research is carried out looking at the current situation of the use of ICT in the process of teaching and learning at the Technical University of Cotopaxi in the city of Latacunga, Cotopaxi province, Ecuador.  Principal interviews and student and teacher surveys were conducted at the three campuses, La Matriz, Salache and La Mana, the results show that ICT resources are used in a limited way in the learning process of this higher education institution, research Interviews are conducted with managers of the Universidady Technical of Cotopaxi and surveys of students and teachers, the results show that ICT resources are used in a limited way in the teaching-learning process of these institutions, mainly motivated by the lack of training of teachers and insufficient technology. The managers and teachers agree that it is necessary to use ICT to increase the quality of educational processes and therefore develop training actions for a better use of ICTs in the teaching-learning process of the subjects.
