Abstract:
From year to year, lavender becomes more attractive for farmers. Its benefits are gaining awareness and, since it is not a plant that requires special attention from growers, more and more plots of farmland are covered each year with the purple flowers. Yet, various problems can affect the crops and the valorization of products derived from lavender, threats that need to be identified and evaluated before they appear, in order to have strategies in place to treat them properly and to minimize their effects. This process has specific approaches and it is called “risk management”.
