Conceptualization of Effective Leadership

Abstract:

The issue of effectiveness has been described in the literature for many years, as it belongs to the group of issues used for description basic management processes. It even gained the status of an imperative. Nevertheless, due to its universal nature, efficiency still remains an issue without a single, coherent,precise and unambiguous definition and model.

The aim of the article is to identify the conceptual foundations of effectiveness and to describe the original concept of effective leadership based on the literature on the subject.The concept and model of effective leadership have been developed taking into account the difficulties associated with the measurement of leadership and taking into account contemporary trends in management development such as value, process approach, Positive organizational scholarship and the Theory of limited leadership.The developed model makes it possible to choose the level of leadership. The proposed model was developed using the deductive method.
