Abstract:

The article is devoted to the study of modern legal instruments for the participation of municipalities in economic activity. The authorы analyze the concept of legal instruments and they use an instrumental approach in the study of the participation of municipalities in economic activity. Such strategically important tasks as improving the competitiveness of the city, creating favorable economic conditions for its development and increasing the comfort of living for residents cannot be solved without effective legal regulation at both the federal and municipal levels. Modern problems of participation of municipalities in economic activity are caused by the need to attract investment resources to the economy of the local territory. The existing legal regulation does not allow municipalities to participate effectively in business and other economic relations, and therefore the expansion of legal instruments for the participation of municipalities in economic activity is a priority for the development of civil (including business) legislation.
