Food waste issue has become the focus of global attention including Indonesia. An impactful intervention need to start at University scope. This quasi-experimental study aims to reduce food waste among university lecturers. We used descriptive and injunctive norms together in prompt. Based on the behavioral change literature, it was hypothesized that normative prompt encourage consumer to reduce food waste compared to groups that are not given a normative prompt. As expected, normative prompt reduce food waste behavior among lecturers in intervention group. However, there was no significant difference of food waste statistically between intervention and control group. This study also contribute as a reuse way in food waste management hierarchy. Further limitations and implications are discussed.
