Abstract:

With the advancement of technology, library need to be ready for change and bring the technology to the library in order to retain their customer’s interest in visiting the library. Thus, in this situation, library’s system should be improved as well to facilitate staff or librarian in doing their work effectively. Introduction to Library Management System (LMS) in the library environment assists librarian in doing their work. Integration with all departments within the library shows how LMS is important in library environment and this conceptual paper will focus on the impact that the LMS brings to the library environment. The pros and cons of Library Management System (LMS) are also discussed in this study.
