Abstract:

This study gives an overview of the life cycle cost analysis on green public procurement. Green public procurement has been analysed in the sense defined both by the E.U. but also by other authors, according to which the life cycle cost is a more relevant element to be taken into consideration as an award criteria rather than the purchase price. For the purpose of this study, life cycle costs for three representative coach models for the Romanian market were calculated: Iveco Evadys, Mercedes-Benz Tourismo RH and Neoplan Tourliner. Thus, these costs were compared to purchase prices.
