Abstract:

Currently the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) has been growing and having a crucial impact on public sector. The public sector uses ICT in order to provide higher quality and more efficient services to businesses, consumers. Recent studies focused broadly on the impact of ICT on the private sector and, based on the literature review, provided the impact on private organizations classified in different groups. Hence, the impact of ICT on public sector is not well enough understood in the research literature. No comprehensive analysis of the impact of ICT on public sector in this field yet exists. In order to address this gap in the literature, the present study focuses on the impact of ICT on public sector. The aim of the article is to analyze the relevant literature on the impact of ICT on public sector in-depth. The impact of ICT on public sector include benefits /advantages such as efficiency, effectiveness, innovation, competitiveness. The research paper will highlight a better understanding of the impact of ICT on public sector. Discussion and research implications will be stressed. The method of the research is a systematic and comparative analysis.
