Abstract:
The aim of the publication is to identify important economic aspects affecting the functioning of loft hotels. The article concerns the Polish market of loft hotels. The publication presents the following research thesis: The functioning of loft hotels is characterized by significant capital intensity and high operating costs. The publication was created using compact data, scientific articles and netographic data.
For the purpose of analyzing the economic aspects of the functioning of loft hospitality in Poland, as well as achieving the goals of the work, two methods of collecting basic research materials were used. The first one is based on the analysis of existing data and literary criticism. The second consists of a diagnostic study, in which a non-standardized interview was used on a deliberately selected group of owners and managers of loft hotels from all over Poland. The results of the research positively verify the thesis. The motivation to write the article resulted from the author's long-term personal scientific interests related to the hotel industry and the revealed cognitive gap in the latest economic research on loft hospitality, especially during the war in Ukraine.
