M-Learning Services in Modern Education

Abstract:

The article considers the issues related to the use of m-learning services in the educational process of higher educational institutions. It discusses the characteristics of mobile learning from the software and hardware as well as didactic point of view. The author describes the models of mobile learning and reveals their main components (student component, educational component, ­communicative component, and technical component). The article presents the classification of m-learning services (services of planning and support of educational activities, services of arrangement and support of educational activities, services of communication and feedback, general information services). There are the experimental data of the survey of students, teachers and administrative staff on the functional significance of the introduction of mobile technologies and services into the educational process of higher educational institutions.
