Abstract:

Security is an important element in the development of complex high-value Web Services. The suite of Extensible Markup Language (XML) based security initiatives appear to address most of the security concerns but what about identity. Federated identity management is one of the key initiatives required to support such complex Web Services. Yet federated identity may be hindered due to competing initiatives.
