Management of Multi-Crop Farms After the Political Transformation in Poland: A Case Study

Abstract:

The paper deals with the problem of managing a large-scale farm after the political transformation in Poland, i.e. after 1989. Based on the analysis of data covering the years 1996 to 2020, the impact of the political system transformation on management in the research subject, which is the enterprise "Agroland," is presented. The political system transformation in Poland after 1989 allowed the purchase of state-owned arable land by private farmers - private legal entities, which could not be done before the political system transformation. On the basis of the analyzed farm "Agroland", it can be concluded what kind of changes took place after the political transformation in Poland. Currently, private large farms in Poland can compete with similar farms in highly developed European countries.
