Abstract:
The aviation transport services market is one of the fastest-growing branches of the entire transport system across the world. The aviation transport services market has undergone many changes over the years. In a time of dynamic globalisation and so-called „distance reduction” we are dealing with ever greater transport-related difficulties. The market for aviation transport services is evolving very quickly, and thanks to it we are able to deliver cargo to the farthest corners of the world. The aviation transport services market has for several years shown continuous increases in the popularity of aviation in all respects. Ever more people are choosing aircraft as their mode of transport, contributing to the establishment of new airlines and offers ever more suited to customer needs. The aviation transport services market must be considered as a multi-layered phenomenon. The objective of the present article is to diagnose development plans of airports and identify the development of key components of the air transport services market.Particular attention is drawn to the influence of globalisation and airline alliances to the character of the air transport services market. The empirical analysis uses statistical data collected by airlines and airports. Data is analysed and presented in the form of tables and diagrams.
