Abstract:
In the recent past the world population had to face many disasters triggered by natural extreme events, heavy traffic or blackouts. There already has been quite a lot of research analyzing and documenting the strategies and processes applied in such situations with the purpose of identifying the elements that should be managed in order to achieve a successful and efficient return back to normality. The following paper focuses on the process of information sharing and communication management from the virtual team perspective and based on the similarities between emergency response teams in critical situations and virtual teams proposes a list of aspects that could make the crisis communication more successful and the emergency response much more effective.
