Abstract:
The need for companies to swiftly anticipate and react to necessary structural and information systems changes is constantly getting more important with business and innovation cycles becoming shorter. However, there has only been limited research into this area in the context of organizational transformation management for major IS projects. This paper introduces a practice-proven approach for deriving the required target skills of staff members, and prioritizing training measures thereupon. We continue with presenting the know-how-transfer model that has been developed at norisbank AG describing the prioritization of the required skills in more detail. A particular emphasis is put on project organization using the so-called war-team meeting structure as a centerpiece for quick information distribution and team motivation.
