Abstract:

The paper presents the results of research on the supply of companies in the metal industry in terms of creation relations in supply chains. The research was carried out using a proprietary survey questionnaire and covered companies operating in Poland. The issues examined included: assessment of the impact of effective cooperation with suppliers, actions taken to increase the effectiveness of supply tasks, estimated share of supply costs in total costs, the number of suppliers, actions taken in cooperation with suppliers, factors conducive to effective cooperation, elements of supply risk and methods of its reduction, supplier assessment criteria, and causes of conflicts in the area of supply.
