Abstract:

The presented article falls under the topic of project maturity. Organizations that face the problem of how to use tools and methods used in the private sector have been chosen as the subject matter for the research. Currently, the problem that is subject to scientific discussions is determining how skillful use of project knowledge in non-profit entities can affect their flexibility in responding to emerging challenges, the ability to maintain good financial condition or the effectiveness of undertaken actions. According to the author, the subject of the article should be considered important and current, because in the literature of the subject, the issues of project maturity of non-profit organizations have so far been rarely addressed. The aim of the article is to present the level of project maturity of the discussed organizations together with an indication of the directions of improvement of the projects they implement. The presented article was based on the author's own research results regarding the project maturity of non-profit organizations in Poland.
