Abstract:

The paper deals with efficiency analysis of SME sector in different countries in Latin America. Data about more than 18 000 of small and medium enterprises were analyzed using methodology of data envelopment analysis. Results in aggregated form were used to identify which countries are more favorable for business activity. Results were compared also with indicator Ease of doing business provided by the World Bank. Our main data source was an annual enterprise survey provided by the World Bank.
