Measuring Procurement Process Coordination in the Building Construction Industry

Abstract:

This study aims to empirically develop a reliable and valid scale for measuring procurement process coordination in the context of building materials between the contractors and their main suppliers. By adopting the process proposed by Churchill for developing measures for constructs, an instrument for measuring procurement process coordination is formulated. This study offers a fresh insight by developing a new construct namely procurement process coordination based on the Coordination Theory framework.
