Abstract:
This paper investigates the mediating effects of staff training on the relationship between foreign aid and poverty reduction strategy. A quantitative approach was used and therefore the data was collected from community leaders, member of independent association from N’Djamena, Chad. Out of the 360 distributed survey a total of 354 valid questionnaires was used for the data analysis. Therefore, Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used as a tool for data analysis. The findings show that foreign aid positively affect poverty reduction strategy. In addition, the results reveals that staff training mediates the relationship between foreign aid and poverty reduction strategy. The paper also concludes with theoretical, practical and recommendations for future research.
