Abstract:
The rapid expansion of the IT industry has increased the demand for professionals with strong English communication skills. Consequently, higher education institutions offering IT diploma programs must implement effective online English language instruction to equip students with the necessary linguistic competencies. This review paper explores best practices for online English language instruction tailored to IT diploma students, focusing on pedagogical strategies, technological tools, and assessment methods that enhance learning outcomes. It synthesizes findings from recent studies and highlights innovative approaches such as interactive learning environments, gamification, adaptive learning technologies, and task-based instruction. Additionally, the paper discusses challenges in online English instruction, including student engagement, digital literacy, and assessment reliability, while providing practical solutions.
