Abstract:

The growth of technological innovations, internet developments, and web applications has raised a definite issue on retaining the web interface quite understandable. Therefore, new and important perspectives for interface design has been discovered using semiotic (icon metaphor) design on interface signs. However the usage of metaphor in the web Islamic interface design is still rare.  The tenets of the theory of metaphor will be explored whether the link between Quran and user interface exist or not. The study is to propose a mosque as a theme icon metaphor in the web Islamic interface for desktop so that the users could feel and learn on moral, values and ethics within the mosque environment.
