Abstract:
In this article the contents and economic essence of the term "economic potential" are considered in relation to an industrial enterprise. On the basis of the analysis carried out the authors propose a definition of the economic potential of an industrial enterprise. The classification principles in relation to the methods for the assessment of the economic potential of an industrial enterprise are identified. The analysis of the methods for the assessment of the economic potential of an industrial enterprise is implemented and a classification is proposed, which allows revealing the characteristic features of various methods and dividing them into groups, and this, in its turn, allows analyzing the efficiency of their application more fully. Finally, a characteristic of the methods for the assessment of the economic potential of an industrial enterprise is developed, which, when used together with their classification, will allow a researcher to make a reasonable choice of the methods for the assessment of the economic potential of an enterprise depending on the specific features of the problem solved and the external and internal factors influencing it.
