In the conditions of the new "digital" economy, the concept of economic growth replaced the concept of economic development associated with the process of introducing innovations in all areas of activity. The problems of ensuring the "innovation" of industrial development and the search for drivers for the growth of high-tech and high-performance industries to ensure the competitiveness of regions come to the fore. At the same time, due to the obvious transformation of all areas of the economy, the usual "classical" methods, tools, criteria known in economics are losing their practical importance, their actualization is necessary taking into account the processes of digitalization of the economy
