Methods and Instruments of Assessing the Life Quality

Abstract:

Quality of life is a subject of several sciences (sociology, psychology, economics), and has not reached a common definition on quality of life, making it difficult research in this area. For human life is a result of the overall assessment in terms of the human person, their own lives. Analyses by relating to quality of life are particularly useful in clinical practice in assessing the effects of physical, mental and social illnesses and medical treatments on the lives of everyday people; in analyzing the effects of treatment or disease, from the point of view of the patient, and in identifying patient needs psychological support, physical and social during illness. Using tools to assess quality of life helps medical staff to choose between different alternative treatments to inform patients about the possible effects of various medical procedures to monitor the progress of treatments applied from the point of view of the patient and, finally, enable medical professionals to design packages of care effective and efficient.
