Abstract:

The theme chosen for the scientific research “Methods of Evaluating "Intellectual capital" of an Organization and Ways of Enhancing Performance in the Knowledge-based Economy – A Synthetically Approach” essentially aims at studying and presenting in a synthetically manner the methods of evaluating "intellectual capital" of an organization and the ways of enhancing performance in the knowledge-based economy. 

The paper focuses on the following key topics: "intellectual capital" - definitions, role, importance, components and influences on the performance of organizations; "intellectual capital" – a key component of "capital" within an organization; "intellectual capital" seen from the perspective of "intellectual property" of an organization; "intellectual capital" – one of the basic pillars of the knowledge-based economy; methods of evaluating "intellectual capital" of an organization – a synthetically approach; "intellectual capital" and its decisive influence on the performance of companies in the new context of the knowledge-based economy.
