Abstract:

This article presents activities to implement Lean Manufacturing tools in the production process of the household appliance industry. It aims to indicate ways of reducing waste of resources -such as time, energy, and materials - through the implementation of modern production management tools and concepts, with particular emphasis on Lean Manufacturing methodology. The study analysed the main sources of waste in a selected manufacturing company in the process of manufacturing one of its product models. The research also included the identification of inefficient areas at individual workstations that generate the greatest wastes. Several organisational and technical improvements were proposed based on the analyses conducted, aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs and minimising the negative environmental impact.
