Mobile Robot Driving System Applied to an Auto Platform

Abstract:

One of the most important aspects in the evolution of the human being is the use of tools that simplify his physical work. The man imagined intelligent mechanized devices that would take over a significant part of the physical effort. Thus he built automatic toys and intelligent mechanisms or imagined robots in "SF" drawings, books, movies. In general, robots are a class of technical systems that mimic or substitute human motor or intellectual functions. This is achieved by combining different types of handling systems or locomotives, determining the anthropomorphic character of the robot, with different types of computing or logical equipment, which determines its intellectual functions. Robots operate in a specific environment, whose characteristics may remain constant or variable over time. The proposed application is a variant of experimental study with signal acquisition for a uniform rectilinear motion where the LabView package and a DAQ U 6008 data acquisition board were used as a programming medium, with particular emphasis on the movement and speed control.
