Modern Approaches to Human Resource Management in the Era of Digital Transformation

Abstract:

Digital transformation has become a key driver of organizational change, with human resource management (HRM) playing a pivotal role. The integration of digital technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence is reshaping HR processes, increasing efficiency, and strengthening strategic contributions. This article aims to synthesize contemporary approaches to digital HRM and assess their impact on organizational productivity, employee experience, and long-term sustainability. A systematic meta-analysis was conducted using publications from Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, and Google Scholar, covering 2018–2025. After screening, nine empirical studies were selected. Content analysis identified five thematic clusters: efficiency and productivity, predictive analytics, AI-driven HR personalization, transformation of job roles, and organizational challenges. The findings confirm that digital HRM enhances efficiency, decision-making, and innovation while supporting global competitiveness. Predictive analytics and AI tools enable proactive workforce planning, from turnover prediction to personalized compensation. However, challenges such as digital skill gaps, resistance to change, and ethical dilemmas persist. The article contributes by offering a structured synthesis of recent evidence, highlighting best practices and methodological advances.
