Modern Managers And Cultural Diversity In The Workplace

Abstract:

At present the area of studies devoted to modern managers is highly topical and particularly important in the context of their work with the culturally diverse workforce. The attitudes, qualities, and skills of managers working with multicultural teams have an impact on the style and way of employee management, employees' behaviour and cooperation in a team, their motivation, the quality of their performance, atmosphere at a workplace, and achieving organizational goals. The aim of the article, based on the analysis of the subject literature and the results of secondary research, is to determine the desirable characteristics of managers operating in culturally diverse work environment. The authors of the article focus on cultural differences stemming from employees’ different nationalities.
